As of 3:30 pm on 9/19, we only need 8 more to make it to 100 for attendance.  C'mon people who are on the fence, we'd love to see y'all!

Does anyone know where Mary Jane got the name " Hedda"? I would google it, but I dread a commanche attack.

Sally, I've  wondered that too.  Seems like I knew once, but have forgotten.

OK Hedda, "Enquiring minds want to know" ;)

To all of you who came to the reunion----To all of you who gave so much time and energy to make it happen--- To all who accompanied the classmate back home-- THANK YOU-THANK YOU. It was a time filled with smiles and laughs and a wonderful sense of comaraderie. May we all see each other again.

When I think of class reunions in general, I think of tepid affairs attended by older people. Our 50th reunion was not one of these events.

What a terrific venue for our reunion.  It was beautifully planned and executed and could not have been any better organized or nicer.  Absolutey outstanding.

What a great group of people at our reunion, all of whom were very friendly, having great fun, and making everyone feel very welcome and very much at home.  My wife, Lesley, had a grand time which is a lot to say since she didn't know many people and was kind of dreading the experience until she got there.

Now Susie Swager was gracious enough to save Les and me a seat at her table Saturday night that she shared with Melodie Campbell, Diane Kessler, and Regan Hall.  Beth Cunningham, the first girl I dated in 7th grade, was at the table as well and joined Les and me as innocent bystanders to what followed.  Everything was rather normal after we got our food until I noticed that Melodie had tears streaming down her face trying not to laugh out loud at something someone said.  I thought she might explode.  Then Diane would say something and the four of them would almost fall off their chairs howling until Regan or Susie said something and started it all over again.  Eating with those four was like dining with a circus act called the Giggling Walendas and then they got those damn caps. (I'm just kidding - Les and I loved every minute of it. Thank you, ladies.)

Thank you all for two wonderful evenings.

Jay

Jay said it all, but, as always, I have to add my two cents. I can't remember laughing so hard for almost three days, to the point at which I almost needed the Heimlich Maneuver. What a wonderful time I had! My greatest gift was getting together with Diane Kessler, Regan Hall and Melodie Campbell for a l..o..n..g lunch on Saturday. The four of us hadn't been together for 50 years, but it was like the time melted away. Isn't it amazing how good friends can pick up exactly where they left off all those years ago?

Another great gift was the FoE luncheon on Saturday. What amazing classmates I had back then, and they continue to amaze me now.

But I cannot sign off without mentioning the infamous hats, Caddy Durkin Harper! I had planned to be dignified, but I don't think runny mascara and wine spewing from my nose is mentioned in any etiquette book. Every time I think of The Hat, I start to laugh all over again. Is this a titter of a well-bred woman from Mount Lebanon and Mount Holyoke??? It's more like a belly laugh from a TV comedy.

Seeing dear friends and reconnecting with people I hadn't known quite as well was something I will always treasure. Everyone should be this lucky!

Many, many thanks for a perfect weekend,

Susan Swager Becraft
