Dalton Schnack

Dalton Schnack, a noted physicist residing in Encinitas, CA, passed away in 2013.  The published series of his lectures on magnetohydrodynamics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, has been described by a reviewer as a great book, a must for anyone interested in MHD theory.  Information on Dalton's passing was received from Marsha Mock Mulcahy.

I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Dee Schnack.  He was a delightful member of Mr. Clark's homeroom.  We called him Dee because his middle name was DeWitt.  Always in a happy mood.  He told me about reading The Catcher In The Rye.  Here's a picture from the good ol' days:  Left to right; Dee, Tom Fischer and Dale Drost.

Great memories.

We always knew he was in trouble when his Mom would call "Dalton Dewitt Schnack, Jr!!!"

We were great pals and played a lot of penny-ante poker in his game room.  His dad bought the first Fiat 500 ever seen in Mt. Lebo.  There is no truth to the story that some of us picked it up and carried it into the school. It was the gym.
