Jan will not be forgotten by our 'Class of 61'. He was such a valued member of our class for his academic excellence, his athletic talents, and mostly for his kind heart.
He served our country in Vietnam, as a medic; earning the "Gallantry Cross (Vietnam)", "...in recognition of deeds of valor or heroic conduct while in combat with the enemy".
He brought smiles and lots of laughter to my life.

Leslie,
That's a nice note about Jan. I did not know him on Cochran Road, but hats off to a good soul who came back from Viet Nam in one piece and then went on to a successful career and what seems to have been a meaningful life.
All things good for you and your family as well.
