In Memory

Kenneth T. (Tim) Hildebrand

Kenneth T. Hildebrand, known to his classmates as Tim, died on October 29, 2019 in Norwalk, Ohio. HIs wife Stephanie shared the following with us:

He entered his eternal life after battling a rare form of dementia called FTD for 16 years. He was a very loving, giving, caring and kind-hearted person.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, a daughter and son-in-law and two granddaughters who he adored.  He became a successful business owner, giving back generously and anonymously to the community.  He will be dearly missed.

His obituary, published in the Norwalk Register, contains the following:

He was born April 14, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Kenneth and Mardell Hildebrand. As a young man growing up in Pittsburgh, Ken loved playing Little League baseball. He also loved dancing to the music of the 50s and 60s and was known to show off his moves frequently throughout the years.

Ken moved to Ohio to attend Kent State University and later became a financial officer with State Savings and Loan. While working in Cleveland, he met his wife of 50 years Stephanie, who was working for United Airlines. They loved to travel the world together. To keep in great shape, he played racquetball frequently.

Ken and Stephanie moved to her hometown of Norwalk to raise their only daughter. There he started his own company, Fireland's Business Forms on St. Mary's Street. Ken loved Norwalk, and giving back to the community was important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Schillig) Hildebrand of Norwalk; daughter, Lindsay (Alex) Schaffer; and granddaughters, Elyssa and Stephanie.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jack Wilson; and brother, Dave Hildebrand.
