Caddy Durkin Harper has provided news of Susan's passing in April of 2025 in Charlottesville, VA. Her obituary in the Aspen, CO Daily News noted the many moves of her childhood, as her family followed her father's career in the oil industry.  Susie received a MFA in creative writing at San Francisco State, later taught at inner city schools in Baltimore, and at a prestigious girl's school in Maryland. She eventually moved to Paris, and then to Basel and Zurich in Switzerland. In her obituary, her family noted her warmth, humor, and sense of adventure. Susan is survived by her children, Hilary Stunda (David Richie) and David Stunda; ex-husband Steve Stunda; and her four grandchildren, Sam, August, Sienna and Chloe.
