Darold E. Blythe, 57, of Trenton, IA, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Per Mr. Blythe’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation rites have been entrusted to the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant.
Darold Eugene Blythe was born June 13, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant. He was the son of John Henry and Mary Darlene (nee Woods) Blythe. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1975. On February 14, 1997 in Mt. Pleasant, Darold was united in marriage to Cynthia Lou Hagans.
For over 20 years, Mr. Blythe was an operator for Larry Lines’ Prairie Services, which operated the waste water treatment plant for the city of Mt. Pleasant. Darold was an active supporter of a Harley Davidson group and proudly owned two Harley’s himself. For many years, Darold was an enthusiastic hunter.
Those thankful for sharing in Darold’s life include his wife Cynthia of Trenton, 3 children – Aaron Hagans and fiancée Alyssa Blackburn and John Blythe and special friend Jill Welcher all of Mt. Pleasant, and Michelle Caskey and her husband Thomas of Avonsdale, AZ; a brother, Charles Blythe and his special friend Vickie Ritz of Mt. Pleasant and 6 grandchildren – Kendra, Daniel, Hayley, Marianne, Ruby and Casey.
His parents and a nephew, Jonathan Blythe, precede Darold in death.
