Carol Wight (Miyazaki) (1979)
From the Office of Mr. Rick Divas,
I hope you all have a great time next month, unfortunately I will be unable to get away that weekend. Please keep in touch and be nice when you tell stories about those of us that aren't there to defend ourselves! After all, there were only about 39 of us in our class, and about 160 in the school, so it was kind of hard to be anonymous.
Also I'm hoping you and your families are all well. As for me, all is good! I have a 21 year old daughter who will be a senior at Gettysburg College next year, and a recent High School graduate (18 year old know-it-all) as well, and she will be going to the University of Pittsburgh next year. Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware where I spend most of my time now, seems light years away from my memories of Mt. Pleasant. However, I always remember those days fondly, because of the outstanding people I got to know (that would be you!). I probably have changed more than most, as 35 years on the east coast have quite an impact! I left a skinny, poor, liberal Presbyterian from Colorado, and now I'm a not-so-skinny, much less poor (but it's all relative), conservative Catholic from Pennsylvania. Hopefully you won't hold any of that stuff against me.
Anyway, I wish you all the best and enjoy your time together in July!
Cheers!
