U.S. History - Coach Anderson

He was awesome! Half the school knew every year that he was teaching the Civil War, because you'd hear his Great Rebel Yell through the halls.  He was going over the 9 reasons why the south thought they could win the Civil War, and Dave Paulus thought one of the reasons was surely Southern Comfort.  Mr. Anderson made it the 10 reasons, and gave us extra credit on the exam if we could get all 10 :D.  He had a great sense of humor, and used it liberally to get the subject across, so things really stuck with you.  He was a better history teacher than all of my college history prof's combined - and I took a fair bit of history.

Miss Van Witzenberg was another fave.  She covered 90% of everything that came up in my college lit courses, and made me a much better writer.  She was tough, but a great teacher.
