In Memory

William Goffinski

William "Bill" Goffinski, age 66, formerly of Hoffman Estates, IL died on December 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 15, 1957, in Chicago, IL and was the son of the late Alfons Goffinski and Gertrude (Wierzbicki) Goffinski. Bill was united in marriage to Pamela (Kriescher) Goffinski on October 8, 1983, at St. Raymond De Penafort Church in Mount Prospect, IL.

He graduated from Prospect High School where he met Pamela and made lifelong best friends, including his beloved "Albert Street Gang". After high school he followed in the footsteps of his father and brother and became a Journeyman Electrician and member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 134. In 1989, Bill began his career as a Foreman Electrician at Cinco Electric Inc. where he proudly worked until his retirement in 2019.

Bill had several hobbies and interests and was always open to trying new things. His favorite hobby was golf. Bill's main interests revolved around his sons; he was an active leader in The Boy Scouts of America, PTA president, baseball coach, attended several rock concerts to watch Alan and Alida perform, climbed Mount Whitney with Curtis, and enjoyed many other activities with his boys. He loved camping and traveling throughout the U.S. with Pam, especially the many trips to visit and play with their grandchildren to whom he enjoyed telling stories and showing new things. Above all, Bill devoted his life to his family and their wellbeing and happiness.

In addition to being the beloved husband of Pamela for 40 years, he was the loving father of Alan (Alida) Goffinski and Curtis (Clarissa) Goffinski, grandfather to William and Eleanor Goffinski, brother to Sandra (Leonard) Bannon and Robert (Maggie) Goffinski, brother-in-law to Bob Mueller, and friend to so many. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Linda Mueller.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on December 29th at 10:00AM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY. A live stream of the service will be offered via the church's Facebook page (Page: Church of the Immaculate Conception Glenville). A Celebration of Life will also be held in Illinois at a later date.
