Joseph G. Gattas of Mount Prospect A Mass for Joseph G. Gattas, 52, will be celebrated at 12 noon Wednesday, at St. Ray- mond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Road (Route 83) and Lincoln Street, Mount Pros- pect. Interment will be private in All Saints Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Pros- pect, and from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass Wednesday, at the church.
Born Oct. 5, 1956, in Kaney, Kan., he died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009.
Joe was a foreman for the Village of Mount Prospect Public Works Department for 30 years. He was an IHSA football referee for 15 years. Joe will be remembered as the cart- wheeling "Jake Blues" with the Blues Mobile in the annual July 4th Mount Prospect Parade.
He was the beloved husband of Eileen Gattas (nee Finn), whom he married Sept. 23, 1988; dear brother of Marilyn (Bob) White, Marcia (Jack) Gniot, Thomas (Michelle) Gattas and Gerald (Gail) Gattas; loved uncle of
21; and devoted son-in-law of Mary Finn. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Phylis Gattas.
