I met Keith McGinn in the fall of 1971.  Carl Dittmer and I hung out with him one night at the Bruning Field.  Keith had two bottles of Boones Farm Apple wine which he shared with us over a bon fire.  In early December, 1971 Keith was gone.  He died of walking pneumonia.  About twenty Prospect students ditched school in order to go to his funeral.  I remember there were ten people riding in Jim Urich's car from the funeral parlor to the church.  Unfortunatley,  I had to ride in the trunk of his car with my suit on.    Keith was a real nice gentle soul who is still missed by his friends.

I grew up across the street from Keith and it shocked me to the core the night he passed away.  I will be contacting his Mom and will share posts with her so she knows Keith has not been forgotten.  I have many memories of playing army, bounce or fly, statue maker, and kickball with him and the neighborhood gang.  He WAS a gentle soul.

Keith was my first "boyfiend" in Mr. Krowka's 5th grade class at Kensington School. He gave me his ID bracelet to wear. After he died, during a visit with his Mother, she gave me the ID bracelet I wore and I have it to this day. He was kind & caring and I will always cherish his memory.
