After high school I went to Ball State and studied psychology. While there I married Lisa (Brewer, from New Castle). We began having kids right away and it sort of got out of hand (six kids). I worked as a clinical therapist for about 8 years, then decided I had had enough of that. I got really lucky and landed a job with the New Castle Fire Department, and have been a firefighter since 2002.
