Mike Hester

Just moved back to Mt Washington a little over a year ago. My job took me to FL for a few years, which was a nice experience, but it's good to be back. I've been married for 7 years and we have 4 kids (mine, hers, and ours ;)). I started playing bass our freshman year and still play locally whenever possible. I actually had the pleasure of playing at my brother reuniuon (BE class of 81)...God help us if we act like that! I've recorded 2 CD's for local singer/songwriter D.A. King, one of which is available through some online retailers.
Since I've been back, and I have middle school aged kids, I have met their parents, only to discover I knew them from school...it can be very surreal, to say the least.
I have been very fortunate and managed to overcome most of the obstacles and curveballs that life has thrown me (like most everyone else). I've always tried to stay positive, focused, and hold my head up. Life is only as bad as you let it be.

Some of my favorite memories (participated in): Playing in the Stage Band at all those basketball games, Marching Band, sharing the homeroom desk with Melinda, and all the fun we hadOther Favorites (although I didn't participate): chickens at pep rally's, ....and the infamous hiding of the (Scott Newkirk's) Camaro at Druthers, but shame on me for forgetting who orchestrated that...
Is anyone else amazed at how many times you could drive from the BE to the Dollar Store and back in one night, and think it was fun?
