Comments:
Following High School, I went to the University of Iowa. In 93, I recieved my Elementary Education degree. I then moved back to Muscatine, and Joe and I got married. We planned a September wedding, with the idea that I would be subbing. Instead of subbing, I was offered a job with Muscatine Community Schools working in special education. Since I wasn't certified in Special Education, I returned to the University of Iowa and began working on my Masters degree in Special Education. I completed in 1996 and my family increased with the addition of Chelsea. In 1999 we added Dylan and in 2003 we added Andrew.
In 2005, I decided that I wanted to move to the regular classroom and began teaching third grade. I have enjoyed a few former classmates children in my class. Currently I am teaching third grade at Madison.
In family life, our children keep us very busy. Chelsea is involved with student council, chorus, cross country and soccer. Dylan loves sports and is currently playing flag football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Andrew started kindergarten and is now getting into the sports scene as well with t-ball and soccer. Most days I do not know if I am coming or going and I wouldn't want it any other way.
