Click on Check Messages to see our new THREADED email system. But please don't panic! Threaded just means logging conversation going back and forth between two people. Now you can see messages you SEND, not just those you receive, since we're so old we don't always remember what we've sent. Or maybe I'm the only one.

I'm happy. Now when I send a message and when someone responds days later, I can just sit here and not go HuH!

Drove my Chevy to the levee,
but the levee was dry,
And good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye.
Singing this will be the day that I die.

I used Tresa's easy button :)

I met a girl who sang the blues

And I asked her for some happy news.

Okay, I guess we don't have any cardboard boat builders in our class.
I wanted us to do one and toss out a challenge to other classes.

I don't think Terry Ryals will mind my sharing this story...

Terry's class ring was stolen years ago. A few days ago we got a "Contact Us" email on our site from "Pam," who said she had a '78 MHS ring with initials TLR.

Dwayne narrowed it down to Tresa, Tim Robison and Terry. Tresa's initials are TAR, Tim said it wasn't his, then Terry claimed it.

Terry and Pam, a soldier stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, got in touch. Pam said she had found it in her husband's things and wanted to give it back to the owner. Terry googled Pam's husband and found out he was also in the army and was killed in Bagdad in an auto accident.

Neither Pam nor her husband is from Muskogee. They're from the St. Thomas, Virgin Islands! Pam is 37. She's mailing the ring back to Terry.

Awwww, so glad she's getting her ring back but sad that the soldier was killed. :(

KUB, I think your award is awesome!

Sorry you're not finding any boat makers here, CJ. Maybe we're just boat watchers. You'll still be in the competition, won't you?

My internet provider got a tower fried in the storm yesterday so I can't Facebook! I am missing so much and it makes me so sad. They are flying the parts in and will try to get it up and running by tomorrow morning. At least I can talk to you all from my school computer!!

08/11/09 06:48 PM #3059

Lynda Hambrick

But she just smiled and turned away.

Mark, you're suppose to sing the lyrics in order..... not just the fun parts! lol

I went down to the sacred store
Where I heard the music years before
But the man there said that the music wouldn't play.

And in the streets the children screamed,

The lovers cried and the poets dreamed.

I would of loved to try and make a cardboard boat but since I'm starting back to school, time will be limited.
Maybe next year.

JBE, can you move very good. I am still sore.
