Lowell David Shelton, 38, of Muskogee died Sunday, February 21, 1999 at his home. He was born July 22, 1960 to Brown and Mickey Shelton in Muskogee where he grew up and attended school. Lowell graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1978. He furthered his education at Northeastern State University while he was working in Tahlequah. After a few years he and Lisa Boswell were married on October 1, 1988 in Muskogee. Lowell was a self-employed businessman and a member of York Street Christian Church.

Lowell was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Brown O. Shelton, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lisa and two daughters, Chandra and Keely Shelton, all of the home; mother, Mickey Shelton of Muskogee; sister and brother-in-law, Dorma and Stephen Phillips of Broken Arrow; mother-in-law, Barbara Boswell of Webbers Falls and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Eaton, Paul Briggs, Robbie King, John Buckley, Danny Hoover, Chris Pruitt, Todd Matthews, Robert Stevenson and Randy Nodine. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Moss, Roger Mann, Mark Phelps, Wayne Perkins and Roger Morton. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
