Dale Richard Baker, 52, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 31, 2014. He was born August 2, 1961 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Hubert LeRoy Baker and Patsy Irene Gann Baker. Dale grew up in Muskogee where he attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1979. He furthered his education attending and graduating from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dale was of the Baptist faith; most recently he attended Grandview Baptist Church of Muskogee and was a member of the “Singing Churchmen” and several student Christian organizations including the Campus Christian Fellowship at NSU.
Dale married his soul mate, Brenda Sue Eischen, on December 18, 1993 in Newcastle, Oklahoma. They recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. Dale and Brenda met at the Baptist Bookstore in OKC and it was love at first sight for Dale as they were married 6 months later.
Dale was loved by many and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert LeRoy Baker; his grandparents, John V. Gann Sr. and Joy Gann, Hobart and Gaye Smalley.
Dale is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue; his daughter, Rachel Leigh, both of the home; his mother, Patsy Irene Baker of Muskogee; his sisters, Liz McDonald and husband, John of Ft. Worth, TX, Cindy Williams and husband, Ronald of Charleston, AR; his brother, John Baker and wife, Sue of Ft. Gibson; his in-laws, Lloyd Paul Eischen Jr. of Newcastle, OK and Sue Eischen of Tulsa; his brothers-in-law, Billy Eischen and wife, Mollie of Newcastle, OK, Rodney Eischen and wife, Shannon of Blanchard, OK, Jay Eischen and wife, Emily of Moore, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a great number of friends and co-workers.
Funeral services celebrating Dale's life will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Grandview Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Parker and Rev. Danny Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with John Martin, James Rehanek, Brett Rogers, Chris Baker, Jeff Pitts, Mike Shelton, Robie White, and Abe Tiger serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Eischen, Rodney Eischen, Jay Eischen, Lucas Agregado, Brandon Baker, Joshua William, Steven Gann, and Mark Gann.
