LayDecember 6, 1960 - February 21, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Jamie Lee (Andrews) Lay, 54, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, with her family at her side. She was born December 6, 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Laquita Riley Andrews. Jamie grew up in Muskogee where she attended public schools and graduated with the class of 1979. Jamie met and later married Jessie Lay in November of 1988 in Muskogee. They shared more than 26 years of life and marriage together. She worked various jobs so her schedule allowed her to be with her children. She loved nothing more than being a homemaker for her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very affectionate and caring person who had an infectious laugh. Jamie was very proud of her Catholic faith and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Jamie was loved by many and will be truly missed. The family would like to express a very special "Thank You" to Dr. Harlan Wright and all the staff at the OU Transplant Center in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Johnnie Riley; and her father-in-law, Ted. C. Barnhart. Jamie is survived by her husband, Jessie of the home; son, Nicholas Cole of Oklahoma City; daughter, Haley Jo Lay of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Aiden Mykal Jo Culwell, Noah Richard Lay, all of Oklahoma City; mother, Laquita Andrews of Muskogee; brother, Mark Andrews and wife Peggy of Muskogee; numerous nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Funeral Mass is planned for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mike Knipe celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Clay Barnhart, James V. Linduff, Ian Andrews, Alex Andrews, James Robert Linduff, and Drate H. Cathey serving as pallbearers.
