1961 - 2008







Paula Parris was born on August 8, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to David Paul and Joan (Allen) Brown and she passed away April 6, 2008, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 46. She lived most of her life in Muskogee and attended Muskogee Public Schools. Paula worked for a time at Azalea Park Manor and Murrow Indian Children’s Home but her most important thing in life was being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, her cats, gardening, playing slot machines and watching thunderstorms. Paula was preceded in death by her father; David Paul Brown. She is survived by; her husband Richard Parris of the home.

Her mother; Joan Brown, of Muskogee. Two sons; Arron Lee Parris and his wife Angela and Alex R. Parris and his fiancée Radell Jean Steveson all of Muskogee. Three grandsons; Ben Austin Johnson, Carson Mitchell Wayne Randall and Kaden Lee Parris all of Muskogee. Two brothers; David Brown, wife Michelle and their children Derrick and Ferren of Muskogee and Tony Tiger, wife Heather and their children Dylan and Evie of Tulsa. Three sisters; Dee Brown and daughter Lauren of Okay, Joannie Edwards, husband Brent and their children Scott and Ryan of Wagoner. Tammy Wildcat, husband Victor and their children Sky and French of Muskogee. Brothers and sisters in law; Joe Parris and wife Barbara, Jack Parris and wife Sue, Leroy Parris and wife Kathy, John Parris, Jeff Parris and wife Mary, Chris Parris and wife Gloria, Darrell Parris and wife Tammy, Pat Freeman, Debbie Eversole and Linda Ashwood and husband Joe. Numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Memorial services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Muskogee Cremation & Funeral Service, 1325 No. York St. Muskogee, Ok. Our funeral home has provided an online tribute to Paula Nita Parris.
