Felix Chuculate was born February 17, 1961 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Mose Chuculate and Nadine (Mankiller) Chuculate. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at his home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
Growing up, Felix attended schools in Muskogee and later obtained training at Job Corps in Tahlequah. Felix worked as a carpenter working in construction most all of his life. He had lived in Muskogee and Arkansas for some time, before settling in Locust Grove for the last 25 years. On June 16, 2000, Felix and Sherri Lynn Brown were united in marriage.
Felix had attended the Little Rock Baptist Church in Locust Grove. He enjoyed gardening, especially tending closely to his roses. One year, Felix and Sherri planted a vegetable garden, and while his tomatoes were plentiful, Sherri’s okra was not so much. Felix was very fond of each of his puppies and he loved playing with them.
Felix is survived by: his wife: Sherri Chuculate, of the home; 1 step-son: Brian Dickinson and Shampaigne Willcox of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 5 granddaughters: Mina, Abby, Kaydence, Kayla and Olivia; 2 brothers: Darrell Chuculate and William Chuculate, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 1 half-brother: Eric Chuculate of Hulbert, Oklahoma; his 4 puppies: Shadow, Blackie, Shu-boo, and Lilo; numerous nieces and nephews including: Patricia Thomas, Joshua Thomas and wife Becky, and Cody Chuculate, all of Green Bay, Wisconsin;
Many great nieces and great nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends: including his fishing buddy: Chase Byrum of Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
Felix was preceded in death by: his parents: Mose Chuculate and Nadine (Mankiller) Chuculate Wilburn; Maternal Grandmother: Fannie Nofire; 2 brothers: Clyde Chuculate and Clifford Chuculate; and 1 sister: Lorena Chuculate.
Funeral services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 9, 2019, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor Hilderbrand officiated. Interment followed at the Barber Cemetery in Welling, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
