Sandra's Story

Sandra Dee (Francis) Culver “Sandy”, 54, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born February 27, 1961 in Waco, Texas to John Glen Francis and Charlene Joyce Stoner Francis. Sandy was a 1979 graduate from Muskogee High School and furthered her education at Northeastern State University receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1984. She met and later married her best friend, Brian Keith Culver on June 2, 1990 in Muskogee. They shared more than 25 years of life and marriage together. Sandy will always be remembered for her love of animals and most of all, her family whom she was very devoted to. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Joyce Francis; her brother, John Francis; brother-in-law, Ronnie Morgan; aunt, Mary Laster. She is survived by her husband, Brian of the home; sister, Janet Mitchell and husband Raymon of Coweta, OK; brother-in-law, Mark Culver of St Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Laura Cornett and husband Paul of Woodward, OK; mother-in-law, Marjorie Culver of Tulsa, OK; nephews, Travis Morgan and wife Tana of Sallisaw, OK, Josh Turner of Broken Arrow, OK, Justin Cornett of OKC, OK, Jason Mitchell and wife Kristi of Yukon, OK; nieces, Allie Turner of Woodward, OK, Juel Culver of St Louis, MO, and Kathy Mitchell of NYC, NY; great niece and nephews, Alaina and Garrett Morgan of Sallisaw, OK, Jackson Mitchell; uncle, Gordon Laster; cousin, Gordon Laster Jr, both of Muskogee; other family members and friends. A memorial service honoring Sandy’s life will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Shelton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Huntington Disease of American, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018, or online at www.hdsa.org.
