My story?
Education/ career- Bacone School of Nuring after 1 weekend out of High School, then Northeastern while working at the Muskogee Hospital ER. Moved to Galveston Tx for the Nurse Practitioner program in ~ 1985. Have practiced as a NP and taught in the NP program for over 20 years (lost count). Quit teaching 1 year ago, to work in the ER again.

Personal life- well I have a partner who is a well respected Family Physician, and we have two kids, adopted (no streach marks !), one from China and one Asian from Russia. They are smarter than us- so far. We planned it that way cause we dont plan to work forever :)
My mother and sister, and Angela's parents all have relocated to Galveston. Our family and extended family here is significant.
I love Galveston. People come here to vacation- but we live here ! We live on the water and the boat is under the house.
The most recent Hurricane IKE devistated 80-90% of Galveston - the homes, schools, businesses, and jobs. So we are rebuilding the area one house, one job, and one life at a time. Not to seem dramatic but- its been almost 1 year and the ER at the Hospital is DUE to OPEN tomorrow Aug 1 2009.
I work in the ER now as a Nurse Practitioner. I love my work.

My memories.. I remember people. I miss seeing the people, not the events.
