
Leslie Ann Norfleet-Hurst, age 58, of Oklahoma City and Muskogee, passed away on Friday November 22, 2019, from complications of a stroke.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 2:30PM.at St. Paul's Methodist Church of Muskogee in the Rowsey Chapel. Pastor David Burris will be officiating.
In her spirit of giving , Leslie donated her organs and tissue to save others.
Leslie was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Hurst; also by her parents Ernest and Alice Norfleet of Muskogee. She is survived by her daughters, Katie Renee Hurst and Allison Jeanette Hurst, her brother Ernest Lee Norfleet; cousins: Carmen Ferguson, Eddie Norfleet, Ruth Ann White, Sherrie Cannan and other family and friends.
Leslie was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on October 14, 1961. She attended Longfellow and Jefferson Elementary School, West Junior High, and Muskogee High School and Swanee Academy High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, graduating Class of 1979. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Marketing.
Leslie played clarinet in her high school band. She studied dance at Betty Barger School of Dance, and attended Interlochen Arts Academy She was a life-long Girl Scout... from scout to leader. In high school, she was a member of The Rainbow Girls (Eastern Star). She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She studied painting and sculpture and was an accomplished painter. She was a well-known master florist working in Muskogee, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. She loved nature and all God's creatures.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Girl Scouts of America.
