Susan Kay (Owen) Hensley, 52, lifelong Muskogee resident died Monday February 25, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Susan a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend to many. God blessed us with her on December 13, 1960. She was born in Muskogee, OK to Perry and Delores Owen. Susan graduated from MHS on May 25, 1979. She and Gary Bruce Hensley were married for twenty eight years. Susan graduated from Connors State College on December 16, 1994 with an associate’s degree in business administration. She furthered her education at NSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 1998. A loving and brilliant woman, Susan is survived by her parents Perry and Delores Owen; husband Gary Bruce Hensley; daughter Cally Ann Hensley-Miller and husband Christopher Lynn Miller; son Collin Bruce Hensley and daughter Courtny Cheyanne Hensley; five grandchildren Alexis Blair Hayes, Julian Otto Hensley, Allison Kay Shoemake, Cain Austin Miller and Caven Lynn Miller. Susan had a love of the outdoors camping, canoeing and fishing. She loved gardening and growing plants of all kinds so much she opened her own business at Oasis Garden in March of 2000. Susan was active in the Muskogee Farmers market for thirteen years.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 1, 2013 at Bradley’s Belltower Chapel with Pastor Wayne Schuett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Lynn Miller, Kem Frix, Johnny Schiller, Leon Beach, Gary Reid and Mike Palmer. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Bradley Funeral Service. Susan was so soft spoken.. i had her in a few classes in the 10th grade.. she liked my jokes!! God Bless you Susan i hope He remembers me too one day.. c

It broke my heart when I got the message about Susan from Sherri Younger. She was a very sweet person and I hhave many wonderful memories of her. She will be missed by many.
