
Kerry Dale Pamplin was born the youngest child of Mary Jane and Odell Pamplin, June 6, 1961 at 2:00 pm. He was a happy, healthy baby boy and the joy of his parents. Kerry attended local schools and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1979.
In October of 1983, Kerry married Lavonna Capps and instantly became a dad to James Capps. A year later, Joseph Dale Pamplin was born and quickly became everyone's pride and joy. In October of 1999, Kerry and Lavonna separated.
In May of 2001, Kerry married Lisa Verbryke and they lived together in a log home that was built by Kerry's aunt and uncle, across from Kerry's parents. The couple enjoyed being close to family and always celebrated holidays and special occasions together.
In October 2008, Kerry and Lisa adopted Zane Dale and Chazlynn Ann. The children were a wonderful addition to the happy family.
Kerry loved to hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family. He lived most of his life in Muskogee and was a very "Proud Okie". He never met a stranger, and anyone that knew him, loved him.
He and his family attended Boulevard Christian Church regularly, and his children attended school at Boulevard Christian School.
Kerry's favorite job was working for Herringshaw Waste Management. He always took pride in doing a good job for Marc, and was always the first one at work and the last one to leave.
In March of 2015, Kerry found out he had esophageal cancer and for the next 16 months, he fought a valiant and courageous fight. He rarely complained and always had a smile for everyone that came to visit him.
On July 26, 2016 with his wife sitting next to him, Kerry took his final breath and ultimately defeated cancer and is waiting for his family to join him in Heaven.
Kerry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E.O. Mutt and Lillie Pamplin; maternal grandparents, George and Pearl Ellis; and three siblings, Kendall, Holly Beth, and Kelly.
Kerry is survived by his parents, Mary Jane and Odell Pamplin; his wife, Lisa Pamplin; three children, Joesph, Zane, and Chazlynn; stepson, James Capps and his family; grandson, Taren; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kerry was loved beyond measure by all who knew him and his presence will be missed.
A celebration of Kerry's life held by his family will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Boulevard Christian Church with Bro Steve Moss officiating.
