Spencer attended Muskogee High School were he was an all American basketball star and received a basketball scholarship to attend New Mexico State University. Spencer worked as one of the manager at Rumor’s full service Salon. Spencer worked at the Portland shipyard and Safeway at the time of his death. Spencer enjoyed life and was known for his ability to make others laugh and quick to share a smile and laughter with anyone in his presence. To know Spencer was to love him and his exuberant love of life. There was nothing like hearing that gigantic bellowing laugh coming from the back of the room, say’s Pastor David Girley. Once you heard that laugh you knew that Spencer was there in attendance. Spencer joined PhD Ministry back in 2005, and served as an Associate Pastor. He accompanied PhD Ministry in ministering in international revival cruises and crusades. Seeing how other countries lived impacted Spencer greatly. Pastor David recalled coming back from Mexico, “ Spencer with tears in his eyes said it made him appreciative to be living in the United States of America”. This is one of many ways of showing the type of heart that Spencer had and displayed when it came caring for people. Spencer is preceded in death by mother, Mattie Conard and father, Spencer L. Conard, Sr. Spencer leaves behind his children: Courtney (Oklahoma), Christopher Jones (Las Vegas), Carmina Moore (Portland, OR), Spencer Conard, Jr. (Alaska), Dominique Conard (Portland, OR). And a host of friends, loved ones, and well wishers. You have run your race and finished your course. Enter into the rest of the Lord man of God.
