What a ride we shared witth Andy...Sunday after noon car rides driving way too fast..He loved to live life on the edge...moody he was...best dancer he was, good friend always, but his demons pushed us away and that makes me so sad. I treasure that growing up time spent with him.

Awakening We
The boy and girl on horses
A sun-washed pasture
Twelve years old we were
Boy olive skin dark curly hair
Skinny Andy was
Skinny Judy was
Bird legs big blue eyes she had
Awakening we
Thirteen next we were
Sun-washed pasture tall grass waves
Get off your horse, Andy
Pushed down gently
His big brown eyes fearful
She surprise kissed him
Scared jumped up rode away
Blue eyes followed close behind
Awakening we
Fourteen next we were
Dancing Lindy-hop in the gym
Smiling happy we
Awakened we
Holding hands at the Ritz us
Not scared anymore
Sleeping he must now
Grasses make warm blankets too
She remembers we
School stands where we rode
Barbara and four daughters
Weeping all as we
Remembering boy
Sun-washed grasses young love
Perfect awakenings
