From our years at Longfellow and West High, and then Central..one good friend for sure. His gruff exterior hid what I later learned to be a warm, giving, caring man. I loved his showing me his collection of early Muskogee postcards and photos..He cared about Muskogee ,and his fellow classmates. His sense of humor was dry, but very witty. He would have loved to be celebrating with us.
Steve began school at Sacred Heart because of his birthday (1-2-44). We attended Longfellow together in the 2nd or 3rd grade. Steve was my roommate for the first year at Oklahoma University and he invited me to stay at his home for the 30th Class Reunion in Muskogee. My Company sold his Company millions of dollars in equipment throughout the years and I am happy to say that we were lifelong friends.
