Rhonda Weems Montes

Class of 1972

Bennett and I have been married since Feb. 16, 1973. We were blessed to raise our family and still live in Nacogdoches. We have one granddaughter and one grandson who live in Nacogdoches. It's so fun. Our hobbies are collectible cars and Harley Davidsons. We have 1967 SS Chevelle , 1969 Corvette Stingray and 2000 Hertiage Softail Harley Davidson. We love CrusinCoast in Gulfport, Ms and all the local car cruises and car shows. We join up with friends and love to ride the Harley on back roads of Great East Texas, Colorado, and the best riding is in South Dakota. I would love to hear from friends from high school.

My four years of High School I worked part time at Stripling's Drug. I sure miss the drug stores down town with the soda fountain. Remember they were famous for their Grill Cheese...

Also, remember riding around the square at the school during lunch. Bennett and I started dating my senior year and he would let me drive his 69 Corvette to school. We married, sold the car and bought the exact same corvette back in 2003. Through the years we kept the window sticker with the vin number and that made it easy to find, the corvette it had never left Texas. We found the car in College Station and was fortunate to get the car back home. It was exciting to have our sons help in shining up on the corvette we drove on our honeymoon. Life has been good.
