Susan Wakefield Burchett

Left Nac in 1975 for college in San Marcos, then 1 semester in Austin. Returned to Nac for a year of so, then moved back to Dallas which is where I was born and the rest of my family was. Worked for a printing company where I met my husband through his mother that worked with me. We had 2 girls, moved to BC, Canada where my son was born. Then we moved back to the Dallas area where I have lived since and raised my family. I have worked 10 years for Denton County, and now my kids are all grown and I have 4 granddaughters. I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack in 2014. So sorry I missed the 40th reunion in 2015, but I was in the midst of moving from the home we had lived in for the past 16 years and the city we had lived in for 23 years to a small town and a house 1/2 the size. It was daunting to do by myself. I hope to be there for the 50th reunion for sure! I miss Nac and all of my Nac friends!

I moved to Nac in the summer of 1970 and started school there in 8th grade. I love all of the memories of my schooling there. High school was the best. Forever grateful for the friendships and experiences during those years. I may not have stayed for the years following high school, but when I get together or talk to a few of those friends, it feels like time has stopped, and I can pick up right where we left off; albeit with a few more wrinkles and lines than we had then! I cherish those good 'ole days, good times for sure!
