James H. Marek

I graduated from Cal State University Chico 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. I entered the USMC after graduation. I was Elected Napa County Auditor & Controller in 1978 with 60% of the votes & again in 1982 with 71% of the votes cast.

I married Rachel Coates in 1983 and we have been married 26 years. I have worked in retail automobile sales since 1987. My last 6 years I have worked at Thomason Chrysler*Dodge*Jeep*Kia & Suzuki in Vallejo.

I have taken several SCUBA vacations to Mexico, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Hawaii, Maui, Ohau, Australia & Truk Lagoon's Japanese ghost fleet.

I regularly work out at Exertec Fitness Center in Napa and often commute to Vallejo & back to Napa on my bicycle. Archery deer hunting and rifle hunting at Knoxville & the Sierra's is my personal get-a-way. Spear fishing in Monterey Bay while SCUBA diving is never a miss!
