It is with a heavy heart that I report another of our 1963 NSH class mates has passed away.
Mike Ballou died this morning at 10:30 after a short fight with cancer.
We met and remained friends since 1958! RIP my good Friend!!

If you have a favorite song that reminds you of Mike Ballou (for me to add to the Celebration Playlist), a quick comment to say about him, any stories, any special ideas for the Celebration, etc please send those to me as well. You or I can share them at the Celebration if you’d like!
Please send me any pictures and videos of him! I am going to try to do a slideshow at the event. You can send me electronic copies via text/email. Email is tara@balloucompany.com.
If you haven’t already done so, and feel like writing a letter for him or putting anything into his keepsake box, feel free to bring it with you to the Celebration of Life and I will keep it forever. It will be very much appreciated.
We will have a special bagpipe performance on the chipping green at approximately 12pm that day. The idea is that we will head out to the chipping green and those that want to putt a ball can stand in a line… the bagpiper will play Amazing Grace, and then those putters will all putt at once as a final way to send him off.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you this very special man that we were lucky enough to know.

Mike lived with our family at Oak Lake Park. We spend the best summers together swimming & diving at the pool. Two of the best years of my life. We shared everything. When ever we went anywhere I felt like I was 6 feet tall! We we think back to some of the greatest times in our lives, I think of those years spent with smile! I will always remember him as an incredible person. Boy, did he attract the girls! Long live Mike Ballou! You will live in my heart forever!

I didn't really know Mike, but I feel bad for losing any of our classmates. I knew of him of course and no doubt he was as nice as everyone has stated. RIP fellow classmate!!
