Today at 5am today I lost my forever best friend. We shared our lives together in birthday parties, Junior High and High school . Our mother's were the very best of friends and worked side by side at Mare Island Naval Ship Yard. Throughout our years I always enjoyed his integrity, intelligence, humor, love of family and for friends. I felt very honored to have known him and so sorry for those that didn't. To his wife MaryAnn, Tim and Matt his two sons, their children and a sister Mary, I'm so very sorry for your loss. There is a hole in the floor of heaven today and to my forever friend Don Graham dance with the angels and we meet again, please save me a seat at your table.
I love you Mr. G
I was sorry to read about George's passing. He always seemed to be happy with a very friendly smile. I
never heard George speak in a negative way about anyone. And yes, he had a disability, but it didn't slow
him down. It was my pleasure to call him a friend who will sadly be missed.
You haven't changed since June of 1922, and I hope you have many more. You're a dear friend.

There are so many things that we can say about our forever friend Claudette, but it always comes down to a few words that describe this wonderful lady i.e. always laughing, friendly to all with a beautiful smile and always seemed to put others first before herself. I can't begin to tell you how many times I danced with Claudette, but it was such a pleasure just to hear her say " hey buster you owe me a dance". You just gotta love someone who was so full of life. And for me, I just gotta say - goodbye my friend, I truly loved you.
To my friend Sandy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know that somewhere you and she will dance again.
Always,
Dick Hathaway
Larry Ahlswede will always be in my heart for his kindness, friendly nature, intelligence and someone who just honestly wanted to show his friendship. Both he and his sister will to me be all of who we should strive to be.
I hate goodbyes, they seem to last way too long,
Dick

I'm truly sorry to hear about Gus passing. He always had that proverbial smile that so fit his personality.
My goodness, it's been a very long time since hearing your name. So very glad you have joined us.
In regard to seeing your photo, I have a request from Karen Iverson and Merry (Lefler) Widmeyer for all those that have early year, college or any year photo you can spear of you or other for a "photo reunion". Please forward photos to - merrywidmeyer@gnet.com
I thank you all for staying so connected to an outstanding group of people i,e, class of 63.
Stay safe and healthy,
D. Hathaway
Throughout the years I have often wondered what happened to Bob. I last saw him in Napa at a home I believe just before a reunion. I don't recall the year, just the memory of seeing him after so many years. Bob was truly a dear friend of mine and his family were wonderful people. Bob and I were very close during our years at Ridgeview, but then came Napa High and for some unknown reason we parted ways. So wish to this day that I could have spent time with him. Oh and yes, he was a very good dancer and is probably doing the waltz with Michele Folk as we speak.
So very sorry we lost contact,
Dick Hathaway

Once again I'm sad to say the angels have called another wonderful lady home. Jacquie Lower (Hathaway) passed away yesterday while in the arms of her daughter Renee. Renee and her husband Troy had moved Jacquie back to live with them in Idaho a few years ago. She was so happy to be with her girls, the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
God bless you
Hello from many years past. I thank you for your contact and hope all good days for you and your family.

Where have all the flowers gone? As of May 21, 2022 we have once again lost a beautiful flower by the name of Claudia. Throughout her life, Claudia suffered some extreme pain and yet she kept her beautiful smile, humor and grace. We didn't spent much time together after graduation as we had our own lives to get on with, but whenever I saw her she would say " Well HELL there's My Piss Ant. Please look a Claudia's Year Book picture and you will know the lady.
My missing angel,
Dick

I am sorry to post another loss from our class of 63
Melinde "Mendy Lefler" Behrens peacefully left this world to be reunited with people and animals who were dear to her. Mendy was an adventurer. Like her grandfather, she loved deep ocean fishing and became a puller on commercial fishing boats. She spent months on a navigational sounding ship out of Alaska. In her 50s she became a skilled horseback rider who spent many hours on remote trails with her dog Beau.
Developing bilingual skills was very important to her. She became proficient in Spanish, which complimented her career in early childhood development. The education and care of young children became a lifelong focus. At the age of 60 Mendy was in the Peace Corp working in the mountains of Nicaragua with underserved children.
Another passion was gardening and landscaping. She could grow anything anywhere. This skill was inherited by other family members.
Mendy was born on Christmas Day 1944 holding hands with her identical twin sister Merry. Her mother had hoped for a boy. Her daughter Wendy was also born on Christmas Day. Mendy was certain that all these Christmas birthdays had a higher meaning.
She attended Alta Heights elementary, Ridgeview Jr. High, where she had the early teen best friends in Claudia Brown Cooley, Sue Vosgien Nissen and Cheri Reams.
She spent a good part of her life living in Forestville California, where she embraced the Forestville lifestyle. Her family was graced with many fireman. Her son was a Captain, her grandson Michael also an engineer fireman and paramedic in Sonoma. Nephew Charles is an engineer firefighter in Forestville.
The service will be intimate and private for family.
Melinde would be honored to have donations in her memory made to SPCA
