I knew Karen in high school. I was in touch  with her up until about 3 years ago when I lost track. I knew she was sick while helping to raise her grandchildren. Since she is now in the memory column, someone out there must have information. Otherwise, she wouldn't be listed here. Last I knew, she lived in Palm Desert.

Apparently it was longer than 3 years when we lost touch. She had indicated she was I'll, but I didn't know the extent or any details. I am so sorry to hear of this.

Thank you, Charlotte.

One word her ... "vivacious". A real force of nature. I met her at Ridgeview when we were 7th graders, and I'd never met anyone like her. So much fun to be around and great sense of humor.  Sorry to hear about her passing.

Karen was one of my dearest friends.  We had a lot of fun together at Ridgeview and later at Napa High.  I spent many a weekend at her house.  Karen did live in Palm Desert and was helping to raise her grandchildren.  She also was batteling colon cancer.  Not to long before she passed her sister Candy brought her back up to Napa for a weekend.  I was so sorry that I did not get to see her, but her schedule didn't allow, and she told me how hard, physically, that trip was on her.  She also told me that she never got over her " first love."  She was so much fun to spend time with and I miss her so much.  Rest in peace my beautiful "cousin".
