In Memory

Brian Loftus

Brian Loftus

An angel was called home on January 18, 2016. Brian Patrick Loftus passed away surrounded by his loving family at the age of 69 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vallejo, CA. Brian was born March 15, 1946 to Marie and Owen Loftus in Oakland, CA. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ellen Loftus; his cuddly yorkie Princess; his brother, Owen Loftus; his son, Brian Anthony Loftus; his daughter-in-law, Veronica Becerra Loftus and numerous other family members, friends and acquaintances. Brian retired from a long career at Unocal. Brian had a love of baseball and truly enjoyed being a little league coach and sponsoring little league teams. Brian is a man who will be missed by many, his jokes will be missed daily, however his memories will last a lifetime. The family will have a “Celebration Of Life” to be determined at a later date.

Brian and I had been in school together since first grade at St. John's Catholic School. He always had a smile on his face and the only side of Brian I knew was a "gentle" side.

I, too, was a classmate of Brian's in elementary school for eight years. The Brian I remember was a gentle and good person. I am sure he was a very supportive coach to all the children on his teams, whatever their abilities were, the kind of coach we all wanted to have for our own kids. My sympathy to all his family and friends.

R.I.P. Brian.  I'm another alumni of St John's, and was a classmate of Brian's for all eight years.  Prayers for your family.

R.I.P. Brian...   I went to Ridgeview and Napa High with Brian.  You will be missed.

I, too, remember Brian from Ridgeview & Napa High.  I recall him as a quiet, intelligent person with a good sense of humor.  I'm certain he will be missed by many.  This isn't fun seeing old friends leave us, is it?
