Josephine Kohn, 58, of Port Ludlow died of cancer Aug. 1 at her home.

Born in Napa, Calif., to Joseph and Marion (Galoway) Mendelsohn, she grew up in Napa and graduated from Napa High in 1964,

She received a bachelor of science degree from Sacramento State College in 1968 and a master of science degree from UC-Davis in 1975

On November 5, 1977 she married Dean Kohn in Waimai Falls, Hawaii.

Mrs. Kohn taught at Fairview Junior High School and at Olympic College, both in Bremerton.

She is survived by her husband.
