
Judith Leyva
Judith R. Leyva, 48, died Monday at Queen of the Valley Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Napa, Mrs. Leyva was born on Jan. 24, 1945, to Joseph and Matilda Bartolomei. She attended local schools and graduated from Napa High School in 1964.
She married Benito Leyva in 1967 at St. John's Catholic Church. Mrs. Leyva worked at various nursing homes for a time and had been employed at Queen of the Valley Hospital for the past 27 years. For the past three years; she was a surgical technician.
She was a member of St. Apollinaris Catholic Church.
Mrs. Leyva Is survived by her husband, Ben, and two sons, Martin and Daniel, all of Napa; Joseph Bartolomei of Rohnert Park; her stepfather, Leonard Lomonaco of Napa; two sisters, Lynn Selfert and Gina Bueno, both of Napa.
Friends are invited to gather at 10:40 AM Thursday at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St., and then proceed to St. Apollinaris Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Father Dermot Kavanagh will officiate. Entombment will be at Tulocay Cemetery. The Rosary and vigil service will be held 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
