Judith Elizabeth Reed, 71, of Suisun City, California, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020. Judy was born to Wesley and Francis Bright on Nov. 17, 1948, in San Rafael, California. Judy was the middle child of three sisters and one brother.

Judy worked as an LVN for 33 years at the Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, California.

She was an avid volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America, Scarlet Brigade Marching Band and Travis AFB A&FRC Hearts Apart deployed family program. She was well known for her crafting skills, party planning and gift giving.

Judy met her husband, Ronald Reed in 1978 and they were married on Oct. 27, 1979 in Napa, California. Together they raised two children – both teachers: Amy and Shawn.

She leaves behind her husband, two children and their spouses, and many dear friends and family.

A viewing and funeral service for family and close friends is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, California.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a classroom in need.

I am so sad to hear of Judy's passing.

We were in 4-H together for many years.  We reconnected on Facebook Mesenger and Judy sent me pictures of her beautiful daughters wedding in Hawaii. The last post I received from her was in April.

One of Judy's close friends had come into my quilt shop and told me Judy had said Hi.

I send my prayers and hugs to her family.

I'm very sorry to read of Judy's passing.  We met at Ridgeview and came to get better acquainted through 4-H.  I would see her frequently at QVH during my nursing clinicals and while visiting family members.  She was always cheerful and caring.  Rest well, sister.
