I remember many days right after school was over that Gregg and I would throw our golf clubs into the back of my 1959 red Volvo PV500 and head to Chimney Rock or another place where we could get a deal on late afternoon green fees. I always admired and was somewhat envious of Gregg's ability to crush that little white ball on drives. Sometimes....it would go where he wanted it to! We laughed a lot during those times; such a time of innocence.
Redwood Jr. High, Ninth grade, Tribal day. I was very short and could not see over the crowd in the quad. I must have been struggling to see because pretty soon I was being lifted high above the crowd and deposited gently on Greg's shoulders where I was able to see. What a sweet guy he was and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace, Greg.
