4 years at Ball State.
14 years in politics from the State Senate level to the Presidential level that took me to Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Rushville, Wilmington, DE, Washington, DC, Sioux Falls, SD, back to Indy, then finally "home" to South Bend.
The last 2 years in SB/Mishawaka at the Chamber of Commerce.
Met the love of my life last year, Doug Story, a native of the San Fransisco Bay area.
Got engaged on April 2nd, 2008.
Diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on May 7th, 2008.
That pretty much sums it up.
So....regarding the last part - cancer - I want to thank you all for sending me good thoughts, prayers, vibes, etc. even though many of you I haven't seen for years I appreciate your kindness. I didn't make the reunion because I had a chemo treatment the day before, but through Mark and Lori I have found this web site and decided to share this journey with you. Which I have to admit, is not an easy thing to do. If you want to read the "whole story" and get updates, Doug and I have created a website through CaringBridge to keep people updated. I really don't know what else to say. I read the message forum before I signed up and your thoughtfulness is overwhelming and humbling. I hope that you are all healthy and enjoying life! Here's to counting on seeing you at the next reunion!
