Since graduating from Northwestern in January, 1965 I have worked in the electric utility industry in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Georgia. I recently retired as President/CEO of Georgia EMC, a trade association for 45 electric cooperatives in Georgia. I married Suzanne Dalme in 1965 and had a very blessed marriage until she lost her battle with cancer in 2009. In September of 2015 I married Conny Geis Hanvy. I have two wonderful sons, and the light of my life, my fifteen year old granddaughter, Mikaila. I gained a daughter, Maria and son in law, Bradley and another beautiful 2 year old granddaughter, Juliette. I was drafted in 1967 and spent 18 months on active duty attending OCS, Airborne School and the Special Warfare School. I remained in the Army Reserve and the Louisiana National Guard for ten years. I am an avid golfer having played all over the U.S. And have been to Ireland and Scotland 6 times. I have been fortunate enough to play at Augusta National on two occasions. We went on a Viking River Cruise from Prague to Budapest last year and it was one of the best things we have ever done. It was incredible! We are going on another one this year starting at Zurich and ending in Paris. We made some wonderful new friends and saw unbelievable sights.
