After completing my undergraduate degree at NSC, I moved to Baton Rouge to get an MS Degree in mathematics at LSU. I met Charles and stayed. Surprisingly, I found he has Natchitoches connections. His dad was from Natchitoches and had gone to high school with my dad. His parents met in college there, as did mine. His grandfather had an accounting business there. Small world.

Our two wonderful children and family are the highlight of our lives. Mother is 93, still lives in Natchitoches and is active and involved in church and other activities.

Charles has just retired from his position as senior partner in a CPA firm. I retired this past school year after more than 30 years of teaching... over 20 years Honors and Advanced Placement Physics at Baton Rouge Magnet High School. It was a wonderful experience to teach (and learn from) so many outstanding students including two Olympians, seven Presidential Scholars and 3 eventual Rhodes Scholars. After three days of retirement, I received an offer to teach in the physics department at LSU and may consider that for a future semester. Right now I'm enjoying my freedom!!

We love jeeping the San Juans in SW Colorado and spend time there up to three times a year. Fall is our favorite! We are animal lovers and have always had an assortment of pets... mostly cats and dogs. My other hobbies and interests include puzzles and games... Sudoku, crossword puzzles, Freecell (over 29,000 games), etc. I play in our church handbell choir.

We enjoy LSU athletics, especially baseball. Charles served as Executive Director of Skip Bertman's Coaches' Committee for 15 years. We traveled with the team to Omaha for 5 National Championships and enjoyed our time with the fans, coaches and players.

My years at Natchitoches High School, back through elementary school all the way to Miss Dora's kindergarten, hold fond memories of many special people!

The Reunion was wonderful and seeing everyone who attended was so special!! How nice it was to get together and catch up, as well as reminisce and share our favorite stories! Thank you to all who made it possible!! Let's look forward to another one soon!!
