Comments:

I left Natchitoches in 1989 and went into the United States Navey for four years. I spent one year in beautiful San Diego California and then received orders to the Washington D.C. Navy Yard where I spent 3 years. After I exited the Navy in 1993 I got work in the Washington DC area doing security with the Department of State and the foreign Embassies. I later left there in 1997 to work for the FDIC as a Supply store supevisor. I also worked during that time as a Case Files Analyst with CACI in Northern Virginia. From 1996 to 1997 I worked at the Nuclear Regulatory Agency. During this time I met and married my beautiful wife Shahidah Muhammad and began having our Children. I moved down to Atlanta Georgia in early 1998 to find better work and home environment. I found career work with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority as a Rail Controller and bought a house in Covington Georgia and had four children while in Georgia. Must have been the hot summers and cool winters. In 2005 I moved back up to the Maryland Area and went to work with the Washington DC Metropolitan Area Transit Authority again as a Rail Controller where I am presently employed. My future plans are to start a Consulting firm to do business with existing and newly established Transit systems.

School Story:

Tenth grade(my first year at NCHS after moving down from Chicago) English class with Mr. Marusak, we are reading Julius Ceasar and in the mob scene where they are about to kill Julius Ceasar he has us shout out phrases to enact the scene and in my "fresh" Chicago phraseology I shout out, "Kill da Bum!!" and Mr. Marusak turns to me and states through his laughing, "I don't think they called him a bum in those days Roger, this ain't Chicago". After that Mr. Marusak and myself hit it off for the rest of the year.
