Should be a comfort for us Seniors:

What a relief to learn this...

Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was? Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses. Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale.

Thank goodness for studies like this. It's not our age, it's that damn door!

I can still remember an essentially one armed kid out performing most of us on the ball fields.

A great big shout out to Denny, Patty, Gayle, Griffin, Lana, Tommy, Wavelyn, Sharon, David,Gerald, and Ted, and a big thank you to the spouses of the aforesaid classmates.  What a great reunion weekend!  Thanks for your hard work in making this one the best yet.  Seeing some for the first time in 50 years was AWSOM!  If I have left anyone out please know that it is not deliberate.  Love to you all.

It was a great time and so exciting to see everyone again.  The turn-out was more than awesome and everyone seemed to have a great time.  We need to get together a little sooner than 50 years next time. Actually, I don't think we can wait 50 years again, if you get my drift!!!

To everyone who worked on this reunion, thank you so much for making it a great one!  So many forgotten memories came back and it seemed like such a short time since we walked those halls at NHS!  This is the first reunion I've attended but sure hope to be at the next one.  You are all special people, I believe folks raised in Natchitoches have an edge on the rest of the world!!  Take care.

Like everyone else I was so pleasantly surprised at what a fantastic time we had.  After 50 years I was quite apprehensive until I walked up the stairs at Lasyones.  From that point on it was like a dream come true.  Thank you committee members:  for all your hard work.  And thanks to all the classmates who were able to make the trip.  For those of you who wanted to come and couldn’t, I am so sorry.  For those of you who could have come and didn’t:  Shame on you!!! We would ALL have loved to have seen you; and you couldn’t have looked any older than the rest of us (Ha).  I can’t wait for the next one.  Hope we are all still alive, in good health and present when Denny calls the roll.

Bob
