So many wonderful careers began at the FNHS,
inspired by the influence of teachers who cared.
After high school, I became a registered nurse,
practiced for 15 years, then entered another
career with my former husband, in radio broadcasting.
After his departure, I am now back in nursing trying to find a new direction
And a way to support myself. I’ve found it’s like riding a bike
If U fall down, get up dust urself off and move on.
My most memorable moment ,of course ,was to
become Homecoming Queen, every girl's
dream, to be so liked by her classmates! Friends you keep for life! My favorite football players
Boonie Bentley, and Wallace Kincer will always have a special place. My best friends in the whole world and still remain today, Sandy Stephens Spears, and Debbie Hogg, we're only a call away
from each other, no matter where we are.
It would be hard to list all the fun moments,
Having been on the first girls track team at FNHS.
My favorite people in the whole world live in my
heart always, Debbie Hogg, Tonselara Baxter,
Rosetta Cook, Debbie Sergent, and the list goes on.
Our trips daily to the Vocational School for Health
Occupations, with bus driver Clyde Stapleton who
let us by with murder, All of our proms, the list can go and on! Our trips to the ballgames which had to be played at the Whitesburg High School Gym. What we would have give for the gym at Fleming Neon now! I am so thankful for these memories.
