While I should have graduated in 1964, I chose instead to enlist in the Army in April of 1964. After 2 tours in Vietnam and one in Germany, I was released in 1970.

I did manage to get a GED while stationed in Ft Hood, Texas. After my discharge I found work and started my college courses with my eye on a I degree in accounting. After 2 years, I had to interrupt the schooling.

Finally, in May of 1987 I received my BS degree in Computer Science from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky.

Today, I work with Shaw Industries and have been with them for 18 years.

Sounds like a lot of us lived our life with a lot of interruptions with stops and starts. I graduated and went to Alice Lloyd, then to Eastern but quit with one semester to go and joined the Army and stayed for 20 years. I was fortunate enough that the Army just kept sending me back to school.
I work in the defense industry now and have worked with Shaw on several occasions.
