Linda Jo Smith Skaggs

June 7, 1961 - June 24, 2002

     Linda Jo Smith Skaggs, Neosho, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, following a 10-month illness.

     She was born June 7, 1961 in Woodriver, Illinois, to Benjamin and Sandra Smith. She came to Neosho in 1971 and graduated from Neosho High School in 1979. She was very active in home schooling. She was also active in the Victory Christian Center in Fidelity, Missouri.

     She and Doug "Budd" Skaggs Jr. were married on May 24, 1979, in Neosho and he survives.  She also is survived by her children, five sons, Jedrick, Caleb, Silas, Mason and Jackson; four daughters, Jerusha, Mariel, Saundra and Marjorie, all of the home; her parents, Ben and Sandy Smith, Neosho; two brothers, Ben Smith, Neosho and James Smith of Kansas City, Kansas; one sister, Mickey Champ, Neosho; and maternal grandmother, Fannie Walton, Picher, Oklahoma.

     Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, southwest of Neosho.
