Susan Englebrecht Smith was born Dec. 3, 1960 and passed away on Jan. 29, 2005. She resided in Mt. Zion, ILL and was a homemaker. She was survived by her husband, James Smith and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Smith, mother, Carol Englebrecht and father, Carl Englebrecht, both of Neosho.

I sat in front of Susan in 7th grade when we were bused over to Central(?) for classes on the 3rd floor. She was okay to me. We were friends but didn't really hang out. I liked her.Kathy Crowder (Thornberry)
I remember in high school her father took the two of us fishing on Elk River. They caught several fish and all I caught was a snapping turtle. She was a very kind, caring and compassionate person. The world is worse off without her.
