Melanie Lyn Cox Logston, 37, Neosho, loving daughter, sister and mother was taken in the Arms of an Angel to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, following a lengthy illness. Melanie was born Oct. 31, 1970 in Neosho, the daughter of Jesse A. Cox and Sherrill Sue Porter Cox. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1989 and was a caregiver and a member of Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. She married Steve Logston of Granby, MO and he survives. Additional survivors include a son, Chance Andrew; two daughters, Chyna Shae and Hannah Paige, all of Wyandotte, OK; her father, Jesse A. Cox and wife, Loie, Neosho; her mother, Sherrill Sue Porter Cox and John W. Powell, Joplin, MO; two brothers, Brandon Cox and wife, Kelly, Stella, MO and Brian Cox, Joplin; one sister, Michelle Wilkerson and husband, Clark, Bella Vista, AR; 4 nephews and 6 nieces
