Jenny...Do you know where we will be holding our reunion? Or if there will be access to a kitchen? I like the pot-luck idea. Another suggestion would be if we had access to a BBQ grill, we could have hamburgers/hot dogs and set up a donation jar to help offset the cost. If we could have the cook-out, people could just bring side dishes/desserts. Someone might keep track of what people are bringing so there would not be too many desserts and not enough other items. I have worked several fund-raisers for the Relay and we always had great success setting up the donation jar at any of our breakfasts.

Actually, my last post can go to anyone that is setting up our reunion. :)

I will have to agree with Jenny on this one. Planning this event is a big undertaking and trying to organize a pot luck would be a big headache for a lot of people. It would also add money to the rental of the civic center to have to use the kitchen there. Clean-up is also an issue if a caterer isn't involved. Not to mention there are sanitary issues with people bringing their own food. This should be a "special occasion" It happens only every 10 years, so $20.00 per person for a nice meal doesn't seem out of line to me. The committee involved with planning this event is taking on some of the expenses to offset the cost as much as possible. Lets make it a nice night!

I agree with you Susan, I am not able to afford much but I think that the catered meal would be a lot better.. That way someone else is dealing with the food and mess and we can all visit and enjoy the time together..like you said this only happens once every 10 years and not all of us get to talk to many of our classmates on a regular basis, I personaly do not want to have to worry about bringing a dish and then hope there is enough....

Please also keep in mind, that the committee is also planning other events throughout the weekend that will be free of charge. Once we have all the details lined out, it will be posted on this site.

I think that we can do the catering idea a whole lot easier also. I remeber the last reunion adn we cooked a lot of stuff ourselves and it was a lot of work for those involved. I like the idea of a BBQ, it would be easy and fun, maybe Wes Rainwater would let us use his cooker or he might be able to cater it for little cost to all of us. It is just an idea. I will be there no matter what, I can not believe still that it has been 20 years. I do not know who is on the committee or where the meetings are being held, but I live in Neosho and if you need some help please let me know. Tim Newdigger does not live in Neosho anymore he is in Wisconsin adn buried deep in snow this whole winter. I bet he wishes he lives in Neosho still...lol.

Don't know how many of you are golfers, but I remember from the last reunion that there are at least a few of you... I do know that there is a golf tournament that morning (7/18) sponsored by the Neosho Booster Club. Not only will this be a fun way for you to reunite w/ some of your buds, but it will also be a good way for you to give back to your Alma Mater! I think it is $50/per-$100/team, which I hear is a good price for a good golf. Plus I guess there are prizes? Hope all of the golfers have a great time!

Hi fellow alums! You may or may not know that there has been a push to
change the Neosho Wildcat. This has been a 2 year controversy. It is
finally coming to a close. They have put an article in the paper asking
people to vote. They already took votes from the students and teachers.
I'm attaching the article. I hope you will call in. Even though some of
you have moved from the district, as alumni, I think you should still have
a say.

Kim - Jenny,

Any idea what is planned for this?? Is there a list of who is attending? Movers are suppose to be here around that time frame, so still iffy for us,

Joey

Joey-

Are you just wanting an outline of events for the weekend? Friday night there will be a Meet and Greet at the NHS cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:30. Saturday there will be a family picnic at Morse Park (north I believe)from 11:00 to 2:00. Saturday night is the dinner and dance at the Civic Center from 7 p.m. to midnight. I don't have a list of those attending but Jenny does. Several of them have marked attending on their profiles. I know at this time we have about 80 classmates and about 150 people total. Hope this helps....

I've heard that Bryan Prior is deceased.  I didn't even see him on our list.  Is it true?
